That’s why the Women’s Cricket team in Australia is leveraging the Apple Watch and a special app to quantify training in real time. Each athlete’s effort is captured both on and off the field including mood and sleep data, with preventing injury from overtraining a major goal of the initiative. The special app used to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injury was made for the Apple Watch by the Australian Institute of Sport....

Apple’s release notes for OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 4 reveal that the company will be wiping CloudKit data tomorrow. This data has to do with the new iCloud storage APIs in iOS 8 and Yosemite as well as with the upcoming iCloud Drive online storage feature. Apple’s first iOS Developer Academy opened in Naples, Italy this week, but the company doesn’t plan to make that its only presence in the company. Apple TV+ today announced its latest partnership deal, first reported by Deadline. The company has signed a first-look deal for feature films with Imagine Entertainment, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s production company. Before hiring Zack van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht from Sony to launch Apple’s original video content division, Apple was in talks to possibly acquire Imagine with Howard and Grazer taking the top jobs at Apple TV+. Howard and Grazer reportedly declined the role on good terms, with Apple and Imagine instead signing a first-look deal for documentary content....

Anticipating the release of tvOS 10.2, Jamf today announced support for Apple’s Device Enrollment Program and expanded Mobile Device Management features for Apple TV, meaning organizations will soon be able to set up, configure and distribute apps for Apple TVs in bulk in the same way already available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple has announced that it is ending support for the original watchOS SDK and original Apple Watch 1.0 apps, which required a phone to even open. From June 1st, Apple will require developers of new Apple Watch apps to use the native SDK, which came with watchOS 2. The requirement was posted on the Apple Developer news page last night. After teasing some details of HBO Max over the weekend, AT&T has officially offered up more specific information about the upcoming streaming service. At an event this evening, AT&T reveled that HBO Max will launch in May of 2020 for $14.99 per month. At launch, HBO Max will include 10,000 hours of programming.
